Our Story
Swacardz was born out of a deep yearning – a curiosity to create facilitation products that can hold spaces for dialogues and connections. We led programs for deep engaged action for people across generations. Facilitating these journeys made one thing clear: when the right space is created, meaningful conversations naturally emerge.
That’s when a simple question surfaced:
What if these conversations could continue even when the facilitator isn’t present?
Our first game
This led to the creation of our first card game Conversationz 1.0, designed to ignite conversations that matter. It was a small experiment, but it revealed something important: thoughtfully designed tools could carry intention, reflection, and connection into everyday spaces.
The name Swacardz reflects this origin.
“SWA” stands for Self, in Hindi, and “cards” comes from the medium we began with. Together, Swacardz represents tools that invite people back to themselves and to each other.
Over the last four years, Swacardz has grown from a single card deck into a wider ecosystem of games, learning experiences, and facilitated interventions. Our tools have reached over 10,000 people and have been used by 100+ teams across companies and social sector organizations.
Today, Swacardz operates as a creative learning and change design studio. We build tools, design processes, and facilitate experiences that help people navigate inner landscapes as much as external systems.
And we’re still learning, experimenting, and listening.
